Recycle Chewing Gum
Every year 472 million tons of chewing gum are consumed around the world. Their discarded remains could form a chewing gum strand that stretches from Oakland to Harlem. All this discarded chewing gum is polluting our precious forests and oceans, and making the sidewalk outside my favourite brothel even stickier.
But you can make a difference. If you recycle chewing gum, not only will you be sparing our planet's landfills but you will also save the poor trees who get chopped down for their gum. I estimate that if just 1% of gum chewers recycled gum in this way we would have enough oxygen left on the planet to sustain human life for up to 4, maybe 5 more years.
The secret method...
Stock, unmodded gum
After all the flavour is gone from your chewing gum, just add some sugar to the gum to restore the flavour, rather than discarding a perfectly reusable piece of gum.
Brown sugar + old gum = renewed oral pleasure
You can reuse gum with different seasonings to recreate all your favourite brands.
Tabasco sauce + cinnamon = 
For the more health conscious, low carb chewing gum recycling can be achieved by using broccoli. Be sure to avoid broccoli containing MSG, because MSG is known to kill penguins.
